Here's one I Made Yesterday

And it came to pass that in the year of Our Lord 19**, a lady in Dundee was safely delivered of a baby boy in time for her to cook the nice piece of fish she had bought for tea, it being a Friday and she being a Catholic.

And that baby boy did grow up in Dundee, (well Broughty Ferry actually, as they all say! ), but eventually after many decades of success in business, he was widowed and moved east to Edinburgh and against his better judgement, sought out and married the proverbial old woman who lived in a shoe.

Being old and wise now, he decided that all he wanted was a quiet birthday, a meal for two for £10 from M&S, and a Carradice saddlebag.

What he didn't bank on was the arrival of some of the children and offspring from the old woman's shoe who were in the city for the weekend.

He is concerned that he will have to share his birthday cake.

As we raise our glasses of Cava in a toast to His Lordship, we wish him all health, a wind at his back on cycle runs, and a fair share of his cake today.
