From the Garden

A few weeks ago, after I'd made my festive wreaths, I gathered the dried flowers I had made earlier in the year, and made this little momenta.  The small rose buds were in one of the floral arrangements from our wedding and the other flowers are all from my garden.  I've hung it on the wall but it would work equally well lying flat the table with a candle in the middle.  I need to go back to the wreath making as I was just starting to get the hang of how to do it at Christmas.  There should be plenty of opportunities in the coming months to use the emerging foliage and flowers to celebrate the seasons.

Today it is grey and mild out with a hint of rain in the air.  I did the short loop walk this morning.  It takes me past the allotment but I had nothing with me to dig up parsnips so I didn't go in but instead walked steadily home and heated up some parsnip soup I'd made a few weeks ago.  I put of blob of cranberry jelly in it which was left over from Christmas!
