Hair Ice

Spotted this beautiful and very weird fungi all over the Newhall Estate the past couple of days - it turns out it's called Hair Ice and is quite rare.

It only occurs on humid Winter nights when the temperature is just below zero degrees - it looks like big clumps of Santa's beard all over the place.
