Stepping out with my baby

Mama pied stilt before she took off to fly and dive at me because the chick which is in extras was out on the mudflat. Papa pied stilt also flew round, each with their own shrill call.

Unfortunately I was too far away to get a clear photo of the chick and the birds were too fast for a flying one. So the fluffy chick is a record only. Maybe tomorrow I will do better.
