Towards Borrowdale

Parked up at Ashness Bridge car park today, ignored the millions of picnicing tourists littering the bridge and surrounding rocks, and instead exited the rear of the car park.

After a short climb, you come to this viewpoint towards Borrowdale, after I took this, I moved forward to the midst of the heather - a little near the edge, but it seemed pretty safe. I then returned to this spot, and continued to the right and down the face a little; only then did I realise my second spot was standing on a massively undercut rock with a 300 foot drop below, (and I don't do heights - amazing what you can do for a picture.
