Copacabana Sunset

An unplanned day when we tried to walk along the front of Copacabana, but it was just too hot. We escaped to the shade and the streets just back from the beach and wandered round there for a while, while keeping an eye open for a lunch stop. After humming and hawing we actually walked back to La Maison, an old favourite and shared a tomato and palmito salad and shared a prawn dish. We weren't planning to go on the beach, so didn't have our cozzies but thought it would be nice to enjoy the late afternoon early evening there and there wasn't full sun by this time. Just as we were leaving we both got soaked head to toe by a huge wave when we just wanted a wee paddle! Not to worry, we were almost dry by the time we walked along the beach. It was 8 by the time we left the beach and not being hungry, we just had a couple of pasteis on the way home. Now about to enjoy something on BBC iplayer using our new VPN. A good day!
