New Year

Spent a lovely morning at Sweetwater Wetlands Park here in Gainesville. Lots of Whistling Ducks and Limpkins. I heard what must have been thousands of Sandhill Cranes on the Prairie (Payne's Prairie), although I was too far away to see them. I was treated to hundreds of Sandhills in V formations flying over on their way to the Prairie though. Spectacular! This Great Egret flew by and asked me to pass along a Happy New Year to all of you! We certainly do live on an incredibly wonderful planet! :)
