Wellington

We stayed overnight with Santana’s cousin and then ventured into town to return our hire car.  From there we went up the cable car, had a walk around the botanic gardens and then lunch down on the waterfront.  I really like Wellington - very compact, particularly hilly, and unassuming.

We said our farewells late afternoon and walked back to the hotel.  Most of the shops had closed for the New Year celebrations.

Happy New Year everyone!  Here is to 2017.  Let's hope it's less turbulent than this year.
