Back Blip - Paradise

I would tell you exactly where I am in this picture... but then I'd have to kill you.

I will always hold dear the Greg Stump ski film where he took his crew to Valley X...  "surf a couch or two, you'll be there!"

Well, 'here' is not so different. 

The first of course was La Grave in France.  A place that I still hold dear on my bucket list.  I know my skiing skills more than match the requirement.  I've skied just as worse or better with and without a guide in Chamonix.  The distance and cost is not really that much of a factor being just a few hours away and a rather low key drop along the way in the Haut Savoy.  I remember the first time I drove by it (on my way to somewhere much more touristy) and thinking to myself, "this is it?!!"  I know it has grown now and probably not as romantic and wild as it once was, but the allure will get me there eventually. 

I think the key is that it is nice to have these kind of places on our bucket list and maybe not to fulfill every life's desire to keep the flame burning with desire and adventure.

I just can't bear to tell you!!! sorry.  So, in any case if you have read this far... then you are looking at the Sella Group at the head of the valley on the right with a bit of Sasslong from the back side on the left, the Cattinaccio and Rosengarten on the near left.
