Merry Christmas

The results of a walk at the Nature Center with the baby today. More digital IR. In spite of having been hauled into the bitter cold yesterday twice by me on outings in the stroller and all over on errands today, the baby stills squealed with delight when I got the stroller out of the car along with the pup. We went for a long walk and she babbled happily the whole time. She was thrilled when we were mugged by mallards. A nice walk and happy time.

Later we went to church with her momma and then to look at luminarias. She was a very tired baby by the time we finished. As usual the music was spectacular (I love traditional hymns) and the end of the service, with Silent Night sung by candlelight was spectacular.

Today, there is so much to be grateful for, starting with Blipfoto which gives me a reason to walk outside most every day, especially taking the baby and the pup along and the community here along with the friends I have made here. Also, the baby, my children, the pup and older 2 dogs, the cats, birds and fish the rest of my family and friends. I am grateful for clay which gives life meaning and taught me to see flowers, and now my cameras which have taught me to see birds, bugs and light. I am grateful for the voices raised in song at church, and as always, clean water, air, a warm place to sleep (thanks roof!), enough to eat and a job to go to; for the beauty that surrounds us and for the day I was given and the hope I will get another one tomorrow.
