I'm very happy and proud today, as I'm sure are many parents across the country. My daughter is now the proud owner of 9 GCSE's graded C through to A*.

She hasn't had it easy at all.
Firstly she has severe dyslexia, but she has always coped with it brilliantly and has never used it as an excuse for not being able to achieve anything. Some things take her a bit longer to learn, or she has to find a different way to learn something, but she gets there. When she was first diagnosed someone commented that 'at least she was a girl and wouldn't need a career', I no longer talk to that person but hope they on the grapevine of how well she has done.
Secondly, a lot of the papers were taken in January, which is when my mum was diagnosed with cancer and told she had a few weeks to live. It was pretty chaotic at home, but she buckled down and got on with her exams.

Apologies to everyone who is kind enough to follow my blips on a regular basis, I've been very quiet on here recently. We returned from our holiday last week and my husband is currently working away, so I've been a bit busy. I will do some back blips this weekend and I will catch up with everyone, I've missed seeing how everyone's getting on.
