Eagle carving

This magnificent sculpture is a chainsaw carving by Rodney Holland that stands in the grounds of Stobo Castle in Peebleshire. You may be able to make out the rabbit that the eagle is clutching in its talons, best viewed in large, and in the background both the original castle and the modern extension can be seen. The glass panels in the latter are the outside of yesterday's blip.

All good things come to an end, so I am now back at my house-sit after two glorious days at Stobo Castle. Let the savings for the next visit begin...
