Frosty Morning
A glorious sunny morning. For our morning walk we took a loop along the old railway line, up to the top of the village so we could take a look at the driving range. There were plenty of people there practising their swings. It was warm and south facing and the view beautiful looking out at the sunshine across the rolling Hampshire fields; the mist slowly rising at the frost melted.
We continued around to the oldest part of the village where St. Peter's church is located (pictured). I love this little church and the lane where it sits. As I looked through the outer door its shape was reflected against the solid oak inner door of the church (see Extras). We returned via the cricket pitch (where Andy played when he was younger and performed an infamous catch that got him into the local paper!), past the tunnel of hazel (see Extras) and along the old railway line. We enjoyed spicy butternut squash soup and cold beef sandwiches for lunch! I hope you are all well and are enjoying some sunshine in your part of the world (:
