Diary of an Edinburgher

Relaxing day for some

Didn't go to bed till 1.45am! Wasn't sleepy. I haven't still been up at that time since, oh, circa 1983. Watched 'Love, Actually' What a load of humbug but unfortunately did not doze off. However, I eventually had a lovely sleep, which I haven't had for many nights.

Elizabeth came for Archie, even though the day was not the best. And they went up Arthur's Seat! Not many people up there, funnily enough... though they did have a couple of sunny spells.

JR and I relaxed for the afternoon. JR listened to an audiobook, though I suspect she was snoozing through much of it. I certainly had a snooze.

We have a new wee spinning fan which sits on top of the wood burner - JR spotted it on someone's blip - and it fans the hot air into the room. I certainly got very very hot, but it could have been the gin we tested when Elizabeth came back.

Archie is flat out after his Big Walk today. He wore his coat out, which he has realised that compared to a Santa hat or antlers, is not so bad after all.

A sunset shot (by Elizabeth) of Archie right by the cliff edge and a 100 foot sheer drop...
