As Good As It Got

SWMBO had a hospital appointment with the TIA clinic this morning.
The Consultant was very good and went through loads of stuff and explained and clarified things that had been skimmed over in the past .... like confirming that she has had more than one full blown stroke as shown by scans (so much for the previous 'specialist who had stated that all the problems are migraines! -- she was less use than a chocolate teapot that one).
There were 8 syringes of blood taken so that they can test everything known to man, including something to do with Lupus (but as everyone who ever watched 'House' will know .... it is never Lupus).
He also made an appointment for a Doppler scan on her carotid arteries and promised to phone and let her know the result.
There may also be a bubble scan of her heart later (I don't think that one will be pleasant) - and a 5 day ECG. The last one showed nothing but technology has moved along and may pick up something smaller than was possible.

So we went away and got tickets for the cinema, fuel for the car and some juice and headed back for the Doppler scan. Finding a parking space in the car park was easier than expected (lucky to find somebody just leaving) so we had time to go and have a coffee and cake in the cafe before I had to sit and wait in what could be any hospital waiting area.

The monsters were at a martial arts 'camp' and we went to collect them at lunchtimes (under 5s could only do a half day and it wouldn't have been fair to leave one and remove the other).
The school corridor could have been mistaken for a hospital one ..... just twice as long!

The film we took the kids to (Moana) had mixed reactions from the monsters - The Cygnet enjoyed it ..... Squirrel was frightened by it. It was a bit 'darker' than we expected ...... and way too loud!
