Fantastic Fells
I planned to spend the whole day in the office, getting my work all finished before the holidays. My day didn’t exactly go as planned:
- Popped to help mum do a family photo shoot first thing.
- Coffee with Richard and Julie on arrival back in Shrewsbury.
- Finally made it to my desk in time for lunch.
- Phone call from the estate agent. Rush home to clean up & get the heating on.
- Mum and dad visit to choose Christmas day wine.
- Man in Tanners on an absolute mish to get us toasted.
- Admit defeat. The lesson plan is not going to get written.
- Get toasted.
- Find out that Tanners are stocking Three Tuns again. Rejoice.
- House viewing.
I guess I’ll be writing that lesson plan in the holidays then.
Such a fun shoot this morning. We’ve known this family for years and the girls were once in my youth group (makes me feel old) and so it’s so great to see how lovely they’ve all turned out. Nathan is severely autistic which made things more tricky than normal, as he was intent on bossing us around and then refusing to have his photo taken. J&A resorted to bribing him with carrot cake and that seemed to work. What a sweetheart. He wanted his photo taken with him and me and mum in the nativity stable. We were happy to oblige but had to draw the line when he tried to lift mum up off the ground.
I'm officially off work. Bring on the hill climbing and trail running and long lie-ins and endless books and bottomless beer and no diets and family and carols and fun.
