Our Shepherd and Inn Keeper
Nativity at Church today. Cousin Conor was a shepherd and this year Aonghas was the Inn Keeper.
Breaking boundaries is the Fangler our first Joseph last year and now our first Inn Keeper, we've never had an Inn Keeper before either.
Conor is following a long family tradition of shepherds in the family...all his male cousins have starred in the shepherd role. Pleased I was able to lay my hands on our wee lamb too. That lamb has seen many a nativity. He was a particularly well behaved wee shepherd for his Aunty Lorraine. Toddling behind the Angels and other shepherds carrying said lamb. His Mummy would have been proud and was watching over proceedings I am sure.
The shepherds in general were all very good...they quite often can be the rowdy bunch. We've had to get in amongst them before and confiscate crooks. Kept them subdued one year too with a contraband game boy that one of the Reid boys snuck in behind my back...however, the sound was down and they were all watching it so I decided to roll with it until it was their turn:-)
Grateful for the time of fellowship in the Church and for memories of Nativities past.
