An early...

...Christmas dinner for us this weekend with the Gallagher men visiting for their Stirling Christmas before heading to Ireland later next week.

A wee walk with the dogs when they arrived, then a nice meal prepared by Mr R with a wee help from me on the stuffing and bread sauce front :-)

Es helped me with the table. I folded the napkins...self taught from a wee Facebook video someone shared last year and I saved it. I do like to set the Christmas dinner table:-). Also quite pleased I can manage this fold as I am generally useless at such things.

Then the marathon that is The Strictly Come Dancing final! It's long but I do enjoy watching the contestants when they get to this stage...good to see the improvement.

Two empty chairs at our table this year. You can't get away from it but that's the way it is and you have to get on with it. I miss the banter, Gill and I keeping the Grandpa right. Gill winding up conversations. Grandpa's random bits of knowledge disseminating. But I am grateful for all of those memories and I am grateful today to be able to share time, food and company with family.
