Stony Gaze

China - Day 12

A terracotta warrior defiantly facing down the hordes - of tourists, milling around his formerly peaceful abode.

The site is vast - there are still acres to be excavated. The scale of things ancient and modern in China kept catching us unawares.

Our guide wisely gave us his introduction outside - once inside we had to go with the flow.  He attracted a few extra audience members, as you can see in the extra.
