Newport Wetlands

After a bit of shopping I headed to Newport Wetlands which is a nature/bird reserve on the coast. I haven't been for a while but it is a good place for a walk and a look around their shop which also has a cafeteria overlooking one of the lakes.

The weather was overcast and not the best of days to go bird spotting. I programmed the camera to take a colour and mono photograph from the same exposure; I took one of the Old Newport Lighthouse and captured some geese flying past. I prefer the mono as there wasn't a lot of colour in the scene.
