grave situation

After yesterday's blip re the Childe of Hale, I decided to spend the morning at the churchyard looking at the epitaph. It was as described yesterday and although I did take some shots, I was much more fascinated with the church and other graves. I have added the Childe of Hale as an extra.
The church of St Mary (Hale) has been a place of worship since 1081. The current building consists of a tower from the 14th century and a nave from 1758. A major part of the church was re-built in the late 1900's. The graveyard is so interesting with many stones from the early 1700's (see main blip). Sadly many are very difficult read, let alone blip.
I will pay a return visit in the summer. See a couple of other extras for more graves.
