Decorations

The decorations are finally up at home after a difficult week.  It felt like a small celebration and had coincided with Mom showing tentative signs of getting stronger.  Today we had conversations, though she still is very weak and tired.  You can palpably see a change on the part of the care and nursing staff.  Where before they were fearing the worst, it has changed to hope, maybe even some quiet optimism.  Way to early yet to be confident, but an honest appraisal today that she is improving.  Way better than hearing them say that they hadn't expected her to last through the night on Wednesday.
