It's Gonna Be a Cold, Lonely Summer

It being 3.15 in the afternoon, and the fact that the temperature was around 5 degrees Celsius were the only things to stop me believing it was a beach in the tropics.

Look at the sky; look at the waves, gently lapping, the reflections .  It could have been Hawaii.

I held on to the camera as I walked back to the car; with my wrists, because my hands were so numb that I couldn't feel my fingers.

Then I drove into the town, happy that I had caught sunlight, and beautiful water, and then, all of a sudden, I saw the sky change again.  I had to park the car, and run like crazy and watch as the sky turned scarlet and sank behind Pladda, and little by little, the clouds above my head became sprinkled with red until the whole sky above me was reflecting pink all over the world.

See Extra as it started. Sometimes you have to put the camera down and enjoy what's in front of you.
