Onwards and upwards

While I hobble around the house the roofers are hard at it finishing off the replacement fibre glass roof.  What an awful week of rain, wind and grey damp weather they've had.  It's taken longer and cost more because the membrane has to be heated every time they lay the resin and they're into their third big gas bottle already.  Thank goodness I didn't haggle the price down, it's being done on a fixed price contract.  No worries.  In this view Sic (Second in Command) Steve, Boss Graham, Gopher (apprentice), and Gobby Geordie pose for MrsDB teetering at the top of one of their ladders.

In other news...  it's a great day to be recuperating.  Chelsea and Man U are two of the TV live footy matches.  So while the rest of you - and the world - fight the Christmas chaos I'll be thinking of you, wishing I was out there too.   Yeh, right.
