Summer is . . .

a swim and then buying peonies on the way home.  This is the beach at Moturoa, Rabbit Island.  It is one of the largest of a group of sandy islands lying in the Waimea Estuary that we can see from our deck.  I guess it's about 15minutes from home.  On its seaward side there is more that eight kilometres of safe sandy beach.  
The peonies were bought from the grower who had a very attractive home garden that would be a goldmine for flower Friday.
