The contest begins

As I mentioned yesterday, there is now a contest in my apartment building for the best decoration of a doorway space.  So today I made the rounds of the fifth floor, where I live; there are about 50 apartments.  There were lots of simple displays - wreaths, ribbons, bells, miniature trees.  But my vote for the best display is this one, which was in a small alcove where two apartments face each other.  This is left side of a spread of about 42 inches, including fairies, animals, tinsel, and sumptuously robed figures.  The more mundane Extra is a figure now residing in the lobby.
