well...
camera shop changed my lens after agreeing it was "soft" - even though it had gone past the official return date.
decision to return it was based on intuition - and though I was sure they'd laugh at a complete novice 'blaming their tools' - it had been niggling that something was not right.
So Yippee...not a complete camera twit!
