Olives

I was given these olives and the pot of oil today by a refugee friend whose family have lived under I*S for 2.5 years. She visited them a couple of weeks ago and brought back these very precious things made by her brother. They'd managed to keep them during the occupation. Many olive orchards were destroyed and many are full of landmines. Today they showed me photos of their house which was lived in by I*S. A lot of it has been burnt out and a big hole made in one of the walls which they used to shoot people through. It was very hard for them seeing their house like this.

I went to the Dr with this friend who is pregnant and the Dr happened to have worked at the same hospital in London where I had 2 babies! I may go with her to do maternity things in the camps which I'd love.
