Today went exactly as I hoped it would, even though I seemed to spend half of it in the car. A trip out to Morecambe to drop Dan at work combined with a stop at Beetham Nurseries on the way back. Picking up Charlie and Hannah from Oxenholme, and collecting a Christmas tree on our way home. And then another trip out to fetch Dan from work.

I had high hopes for this photo, which I took on my second trip to Morecambe, but it just didn't come out as planned, mainly because I was in too much of a hurry. I wanted far less exposure and a slower shutter speed. Hopefully you can see what I was after but I'll go back and try another day.

The rest of the day was great, though. The Minx joined us late afternoon and presents were wrapped as the tree was decorated as the (faux) Christmas turkey was cooked. We had presents then dinner, which was fantastic, and then spent the rest of the evening in front of the fire, drinking and chatting. Plus, I think my niece had a great time with all her cousins and Abi seemed to really enjoy playing with her, which was lovely.
