Hey! It's summer. Rain isn't allowed.

After a completely stunning weekend; 30C, clear skies and no wind, we've had two really kak days with rain and strong north westerly winds of up to 40Km/h.


I'd just got home and noticed this outside. Sun, rain and the ocean in an interesting interplay of light and weather. The camera got completely fooled and focussed on the rain, which is clearly sheeting from right to left.

Meanwhile, large drops were falling from the roof over our stoep, adding to the general confusion.

Not an award winning pic by any stretch of the imagination, but a useful reminder of just what late afternoon pre-Xmas rain can look like.
