Birthday cake

Went to a party this evening: my aunt's surprise 60th. I don't like parties much, I always feel a bit awkward, even when surrounded by friends and family (not helped by being the designated driver and therefore limited to Diet Cokes). But it was very nice; the band played a good set (Stereophonics, Killers, Kings of Leon, Jet, Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, Kinks), it was good to catch up with my favourite cousin, who I haven't seen in a few years, and the most important thing was seeing my aunt enjoying herself so much after a difficult few years. I wish they'd cut the cake, though.
