Blurry brambles

This is a pretty lame shot, but I rather like the colours. As you can see, the brambles are out. Prompted by a shot of blackberries on blip earlier, I popped out to see how our wild ones were coming along - and there are loads of berries, with many more to come. They are quite tiny (about a quarter the size of the monsters we used to find at fruit farms in Fife) and quite seedy, and perhaps not as tart in flavour as you might like - but they are free!

A slightly frustrating morning found us trying to achieve two tasks in town: put some money in our bank account and get Mr B a haircut. However, we were caught out by the curse of Mondays - with every branch of our bank within 100km closed on Mondays, and all the hairdressers in town too. I think I vaguely remember this from the last time I tried to get anything done on a Monday. Ah well, tomorrow will have to do.

Another scorcher. I felt the heat was more bearable today, though as soon as I checked the thermometer and found it over 40 degrees again, I suddenly felt in need of a lie down in a cool room. Mr B obligingly produced a super-hot curry tonight, which only added to the tropical feel.

Some more muted celebrating as it seems that the job thingy that we were a teeny bit celebrating yesterday is a bit more certain. And seems to be starting later this week. We think. Why can't people be less obtuse?
