A Christmas Gift from Dotty

Dear Diary,

I stopped by to see Dotty's daughter.  It has been two months since Dotty passed and I know the first Christmas is always difficult.  She said she had something for me.  Dotty had made these little cross stitch Christmas ornaments and Patty thought I would like to have them.  Of course, I was thrilled! 

Dotty always made me something for Christmas.  I cherish the red mittens and woolen socks she knit for me.  I put the little ornaments on my mantle so that I can have Dotty with me for Christmas. I do miss her very much.

We are expecting a bit of snow today so it will look a lot more like Christmas soon.  I am looking forward to it.
