To the North...

Having blipped East and South it seemed only right to blip the wonderful Aravis range that dominates views to the North. This is a range I've only been to a handful of times, usually from the other side - but it always looks tempting. *
A coffee meeting with a potential new employer this morning over in Chamonix - not sure they're my sort of thing, but always helps to build bridges.
The town is filling up with International Mountain Leaders ahead of our AGM tomorrow, many are out on courses, but a fair few of us are here regularly so don't need the hours - so we can mostly be found in the cafés and bars - walking back to my car I stopped twice to join UK friends for coffee - much to the locals amusement we all sat outside making the most of the glorious sunny weather.
Tonight the IttHs are heading out for a meal - this can be a little hit and miss in the closed season but fortunately St G is big enough to ensure most places open for the weekend at least - I was quite pleased to manage the whole process in French and even enquired about vegan options for friends next week. Well I hope I did, but it is possible I've just ensured they'll get vegetables with a steak.....

* I'm told the orange haze is pollution. The mass of high mountains here means that the heavy industry and transportation fumes struggle to rise out of the valley bottoms. Beautiful but not.
