Tui at lunch

I had only the Canon, so forgive the slightly ropy focus. Even my ageing eyes seem to get a better focus than the programme does.

A typical busy Friday at the unit, so instead of buying and eating lunch, I walked to the nearby Smales Farm business park, where they have maintained some swampy ponds, surrounded by flax, cabbage trees, and much else as well. 

As well as this tui, I had photographs of a very protective pukeko parent and a juvenile starling, with its lunch. They are extras for today.
