Thaw

The clouds drifting down from the North heralded a thaw in the frosty conditions that have prevailed here this week.  They also contributed somewhat to the sunset sky.  

Something of 'After the Lord Mayors Show' about today.  Jamie missed the morning at school after a late night bout of anxieties ... although the news after school was of positive changes which will make the school more accessible to her in the wheelchair.  Ruth found things more difficult today but still came through her lessons intact (!) and is now indulging in some late night fudge-making as it is someone's birthday tomorrow.

In the thumbnail I have picked out the top of a Christmas tree .... one that I planted out maybe 15 years ago and am now wishing I hadn't.  It's a tad close to the greenhouse :-/
