Common Whitethroat(Sylvia communis)
Never been able to capture a Common Whitethroat before as they are small and are extremely well camouflaged against the Wadi flora, they are also a classic LBJ(- little brown job)This one was lurking in the shadows of the bullrushes and I did wonder whether it was a Willow Warbler, but the beak shape and colour is different, although the plumage is very similar. Nice to spot and photograph a new bird! Don't look too closely though because the noise reduction has lost a bit of detail as it was really in the shade. This bird is an insect eater but will eat dates, if any are left on the trees.
