Morning after the fire

Today we could survey the damage done  by the fire. This is a favourite walk that I take the dogs on...the Fynbos trail.
Small fires are still flaring up but luckily all under control.
Rangers have been searching for injured animals in the area today - I'm sure there are many. Many burnt tortoises have been seen.
Hopefully the bush will recover soon - nature is amazing.
