Fire

We came home from a Sunday lunch in the country to this sight. The bush fires are just beyond the row of houses behind us.
Not all the houses have adequate fire breaks ...maybe this will make them think, The wind, fortunately not too strong, is fanning the flames the length of the village. I always feel for the animals caught in the fires...we rescued one tortoise, but I'm sure there are many more trapped.
Things are said to go in threes...well
1. On the way to lunch we passed a horrific motorcycle accident which took me back to my friend's accident last year when she was killed.
2. On the way home a troop of monkeys ran in front of the car and we hit one and killed it....we felt terrible but it was unavoidable.(I did move it off the road into the bush)
3. Fire.
That's enough now.
 Our village is engulfed in smoke and firemen are still busy.
