If it's Monday . . .

I'm about to take off on my ninth flight in a series of eleven these days. Seemed appropriate to take this shot in the airport of Palma de Malloraca this morning at 5.30 am. I used to criss-cross Latin America in a Varig MD-11 like the one shown including innumerable 3 am drops down into Manaus in the Amazon for refuelling on the way back to Brazil from Mexico. The MD-11 is a plane with great visual attitude and looked at it's best in American Airlines colours . . . the epitome of the giant silver bird!
