I didn't head to the hospital this morning as I was hoping to get a call from David to say Alan was being discharged, and I did :-))

Consultant spoke to David first thing, said the scope had shown that Alan is having a flare up (No shit Sherlock!) but that it's not too horrendous and his blood results are showing the inflammation is decreasing, therefore he could come home.  Yay!

They arrived back home around 1.30pm and all Alan wanted was to sit in peace and quiet in his sitting room, cosy under his fleecy blanket with his rainbow lights on.  I sat with him and we both dozed off.  Lovely.

David grabbed the chance to talk to the kitchen fitters and was relieved to find out the position of the island is where we thought it should be.  Plenty of room for Alan's chair.

Alan continued to be cheerful and says he might try proper food in the next day or two.
