Skeleton Tree...
Backblip
Ashleigh came to the house for 10am and we headed to the hospital not long after.
We arrived to find Alan cheery despite the fact he was fasting again in the hope today would be the day he finally go the scope done.
Early afternoon the anaesthetist appeared to ask us some questions and confirm Alan would be scoped this afternoon. Yay! He advised that he was using heavy sedation rather than a full general as Alan only required to be sedated for a short time (about 20mins) We reminded him that Alan could take a while to come round after sedation and be sleepy for ages.
He was taken down to theatre just after 2pm and we took the chance to grab some lunch.
He was back in the ward just over an hour later, wide awake, smiling and keen to get out of bed and into his chair. Prove me a liar why don't you Alan! :-))
His mood continued to be good for the rest of the day. Karen came on duty at 7 so David and I came home to grab some dinner and let David have a shower.
We sneaked out to have a look at how the kitchen is coming on. It's looking good but we are concerned about the position of the island. It's much nearer the entrance to the garden room than we thought it would be and it might be a tight squeeze for Alan's wheelchair. We're not panicking though as it might be the individual units that make up the island aren't actually in their final position as yet. We'll check with the guys tomorrow.
