Friday feeling

Tuesday routinely is the day that grandad and granny come for a short visit but life has intervened in that for a while. This week we managed to rearrange to Friday. Which added to the reasons why Friday is one of her favourite weekdays.

They did school panto singing in the morning. They had visitors coming to watch how they're taught maths. It was panto dance rehearsal at lunchtime, where they started to learn a new dance. Then most of the afternoon is over to orchestra. The day ends with excited BalletBaby bouncing at the classroom door waiting for Katie to come out for her huge cuddle.

I'd had to drive to school today as id been for the baby and to collect some paperwork to deliver to the council about the panto licensing. It meant we had to drive into town to the council after school. I hate doing that. Friday traffic into town is hideous. It takes twice as long as if we did it on foot. We made it home eventually but had to run to the shops for some bits to go with tea. So granny and grandad were here already when we arrived.

Grandad is one of Katie's favourite people. It turns out balletbaby likes him too. And Katie is being, generally, surprisingly tolerant of the baby pushing her out the way to go wiggle into grandads lap. But after tea she wiggled herself in too. I bathed the baby as Grandad took katie to her bed for some stories, she was pleased for some time with him by herself!
