Well, 5am is better than 3 am but still early enough that I sent her to play a while! We did some recorder- she's loving learning some new pieces and is working so hard at the moment. She fitted in reading and 2 pages of theory before breakfast.
She had a good day at school. She had her first Christmas play rehearsal where they did their narrator lines. "I get the last line of it all, mama!" She said "I'm going to have three print out pages to bring home so I can learn them!"
She also said that they had someone come into school today with "orange frog balance bikes, the same frog as my big bike!" It seemed like the person was there to teach them road safety as she said they took it in turns to be a lollipop lady and to walk.
I picked her up in the car to get to swimming in good time for assessment week. She swam her little heart out and was fantastic. 75m front, back and breaststroke, 50m fly, all with tumble turns and plunge dives. She passed all of it. However she failed on a brick pick up that they did once six weeks ago where she picked it up going head first but didn't do it going feet first and haven't done any other times. She was gutted, bless her. She had a little grump and a snuggle. Then danced in the moonlight like a loon.
She started some homework when she got in, but decided she was too tired. She played ten minutes of piano and had put herself to bed by 6pm. Snoring by 6.04
