Band practise

Every year at church they have a little children's singing group for Christmas and last year they had the first children's music group. Katie played her recorder. This year, she played her clarinet for their first rehearsal today and was so excited to be able to do so. She packed her case into her new clarinet rucksack, carried it off beaming. After church she put her clarinet together all by herself, stunned the big kids as she played the Carol & took it apart herself. You did awesome, BabyGirl.

In the afternoon we had planned to have a really quiet, lazy time but her and her balletbestie had other plans. They wanted a play date. So she had her Sunday dinner then went for a couple of hours on the condition that they both understood they weren't having a really long time. I turned up with surprise happy meals for tea for them & she had an epic meltdown over something ridiculous about it. Bit of a fail.... oh well. I tried. She was home and into jammies immediately before a bit of music time to soothe her soul.
