Shorebirds
Two Redshanks at the water's edge this afternoon. A lot more Redshanks around than usual - maybe a couple of dozen along the stretch between Bath Street and Joppa - although no Godwits or Turnstones and just one Oystercatcher. Do the different species take it in turns or is it merely the randomness of nature and the degree to which the little groups are spooked by the dogs on the beach?
And an extra of John Prescott at an event I went along to at Tynecastle.
