Horses--Lanzarote

The Rising Tide- this was a stunning piece of public art- four life size horsemen rising out of the sea- based near the museum of contemporary art, a converted 16th century defence " castle".

We spent the day in the town of Arrecife in Lanzarote doing museums and galleries . Nothing special. Seen it all before. Until we came to this piece of public art.

It was made by British sculptor Jason de Claire Taylor for the 2015 Totally Thames Festival . He now lives in Lanzarote .

Apologies again for lack of comments. Simply getting a photo up is proving to be very challenging as Internet access almost non existent..
Our changing world: at breakfast there was a 3 year old girl drawing painting and making animations on her iPad .
Her parents said she had yet to learn to read and write.

Visited an exhibition of postcards. Seems writing postcards already consigned to history. Wish now I had kept our postcards.
