Dubai Canal

Dubai Canal opened up a couple of weeks ago (also refer to GadgetKid's entry).

I was at a meeting in an Engineer's office near to canal, so took advantage to look at the structure. I noticed a water taxi pulling in; ran and asked if they went to the other end (near to my office). They held up the boat while I collected my ticket (USD10). 30 minutes later I was on the jetty near to my office. The guys need a bit of practice tying up, and the water station needs finished (see extra), however a nice relaxing way to travel across the city.
