He didn't stop

This evening after getting back to the apartment, I took my Pentax and went for a walk. With the predetermined aim of taking a photo of a cafe on Ponsonby Road. I thought that Cafe One-2-One would offer something to catch my attention. Despite the sun shining brightly onto the chairs and tables out the front of the cafe, no one was sitting there.

One man was sitting inside with his laptop open on the table in front of him. When I first walked past he had a companion, who left as I found a good position where I could watch and wait. No one looked any more likely to sit down at a table than this man did. He clearly wondered someone was standing in the centre refuge of Ponsonby Road pointing a camera his way. There was no way to explain to him, as just then the traffic started past from the lights further towards Three Lamps.

He didn't stop. Nor have I. Blipfoto inform me that this is the end of my sixth year of daily blipping. I think I have two more days to go, as there have been two leap years in those six years. Never mind; rigidity can be put aside. It has been a great experience, and I am grateful to Tsuken for encouraging, cajoling and pressuring me until I joined, and to those who have made my time on Blipfoto interesting, informative, and inspiring.

ADDITIONAL
Looking  back to check when I did start (25 November 2010), two facts have hit me. The first is that on 22 November 2011 I posted a shot of this very same cafe. The second is that the end of the "actual" year (24 November) happens to be Young L's birthday.
