Sons Again

Very late home after the long drive round the three lochs , over the Rest & Be Thankful to Dumbarton's football ground by the Castle Rock. Stopped on the way there to pick up our grandson from a junior league game. Some exciting football there, saw an amazing throw in from a few feet away from the corner post, it went right into the goalmout , much better than any corner kick I have ever seen , absolutely spot on. Could do with this guy playing for scotland or the Sons.

Beautiful sunny day , cracking game with great end to end football from both sides. sadly not our day as Cowdenbeath had 3 goals to our zero. Notice I said " had three goals" One a penalty, no doubt about that one. The other two were down to defensive errors but were such poor goals, I don't really mind if the other team score fantastic goals but I definitely do mind if the goals are rubbish and down to daft defensive errors rather than the excellene of our opponents, as was theat fantastic Australian goal on Wednesday night, but goals count regardless and we lost.

So it's Partick Thistle next week. Might find time to visit the Calumet shop which is close to Firhill and have a browse there.
